Cool, 10 is good, 80km give or take- this route is actually only 97km?

I will ride my new Planet X, reckon we will have a few of them out.

What's the current protocol? Leaving Dundrum at 10am?

I've sold a bike this week, so might try and negotiate a day release to make this one.

That was a nice spin. Nice as in good crowd out, weather was awful and exposed my poor descending. Thanks to the guys for waiting for me and to Nietzchean for escorting me back to Enniskerry. Good to be back out though.

I have a photo of Lumen which summed up the weather perfectly, I'll stick it up later.

That was really horrible, and it only got worse... Of course it seems to have turned in to a lovely day now.

    nice photo's, i don't look like i'm nearly dead, n1 ! :)

It's obviously been too long since I was on the road bike given that I really enjoyed that. The climbing at least. Mashing ftw. The descent was horribly cold. Nice grub and also pleasant to meet some real cyclists in Enniskerry.

Now to try out my park tool chain washer.

How miserable was it? Let's consult Lumen's miser-ometer:

God that was painful. I need to ride my bike more.

95km, and it felt like 150.

Lovely company, sorry for holding you up with my mechanical woes.

You know it's crappy when Blorg's whining.

Maybe it was like a fake bonk, to lure you into a false sense of security.

It was a lovely spin with the usual boards fun but in the same time miserable and wet and the crosswinds were killing me. Lumen's picture is priceless :D

Went out on an early one myself at 7.30, Dundrum, Brittas, Sally Gap, Glencree (Coffee) Enniskerry, Dundrm, 70km. I seemed to be battling a major headwind all the way out the N81, had a tailwind blowing me up Sally Gap which was nice, unbelievable crosswind from Sally Gap over to Kippure (I thought the bike was going to be blown sideways), braking hard (but not too hard as I thought the tyres were going to let go) all the way down to Glencree. Somehow managed to average 25kph which is a good bit higher than usual !
