Budget: Up to €800 but preferably cheaper

Intended use: Internet, college work, music (listening) & watching dvds

Mobility: Not a really big issue. Have a DEll Inspiron 1501 at the minute so have a carry case 4 that

Warranty: Warranty not important, especially if I get a laptop that is relatively cheap

Thanks a million for any help, have no idea of the technical issues. Winged it the last tie on a laptop and got lucky. Dont fancy risking it this time

In PC World, Acer Aspire T4810T - €600 (I recently installed Win 7 on one of these are they are excellent). They are very light, very nicely spec'd and at a great price (regardless of location of purchase).
The Aspire 4810 T is 1.9kg (4.2 lb) lightweight notebook. It features 14" HD display with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and high-brightness. The notebook uses Intel Core2 Solo processor SU3500 (supporting Intel 64 architecture - Low Power Consumption). The notebook comes equipped with 2 GB RAM, and 250 GB HDD. The notebook runs Windows Vista Home Premium.
