Well I got arrested on wednesday night for a silly public order offence, Basically being drunk. The judge struck out the charges as I agreed to pay 700e to charity. I have no previous convictions and the probabtion act wasnt even applied. I'm totally embarrassed about the whole thing. Can anyone tell me what are the chances of the details being printed in the local media considering the charges were effectively struck out?and if so is there any way of preventing it being in the paper....

Papers entitled to publish whatever happens in court except in young persons cases, family law cases ( where press excluded anyhow ) and in other cases where directed or requested by the judge.

Unless you are a very prominent person in local circles it is likely the editor will highlight something more interesting to his/her readers.
