Alibaba - whats your experiences?

    I've had a generally mixed/lethargic responses to some vendors I'd like purchase equipment from (in asia) to send here and sell on.

    I'm looking at the possibility of spending a couple of grands worth of 'stuff' from a number of different vendors though. Obviously I'm going to arrange to test the quality of goods beforehand, investigate them and hopefully use an escrow service etc but does anyone have any advice, experience of using this site?

    I've bought through that site twice with no problems and I find the people that you deal with are very efficient.

    There is a lot of scammers out there so you have to be careful.
    I don't know if they have a escrow system in place but I wouldn't deal with anyone that couldn't provide samples, accept papal or wasn't a verified member.

    These sites are can very good as they cut out the middle man but as I said you have to be careful with who you deal with.

    Yes be careful - there are alot of genuine and decent companies on Alibaba but there are always the cowboys too. Do plenty of research.

    Ive only ever had dealings with one company and I never received the goods after paying through Western Union. It was a few years ago and I was pretty naive.
