    I always see real numbers like:
    6.336E4
    or
    1.89E-4

    What does this "E" mean?
    Thanks,

    It means exponential notation, more commonly referred to as scientific notation.

    Reading this should help.

    Yeh you can basically replace the 'E' with the phrase "times ten to the power of".

    so
    6.336E4 = 6.336 X 10000 = 63360
    and
    6.336E-4 = 6.336 x 0.0001 = 0.0006336

    are they correct?

    Yes.

    If you are working with a spreadsheet you can type 6.336E4 into a cell and the spreadsheet program will recognise it as such, i.e. 63360*

    *which is the number of inches in a mile. :)
