    Hey hey,

Thought you peeps in the hip hop forum might be interested in this !

Tipped by Q Magazine as one of ‘The 10 DJs you must see before you die”, DJ Yoda is one of the most admired and original DJs in UK music. His grin-inducing hip-hop sets have always incorporated everything from underground rap, to 80s pop, and even the odd TV theme tune, but his ‘DJ Yoda Goes to the Movies’ tour also saw him venture into the world of the Audio Visual mix, scratching up DVDs as well as music. The first of his two Radio 1 Essential Mixes was the first ever by a hip-hop DJ, and the man behind the “How To Cut and Paste” mix CD series has now released his first artist album, “The Amazing Adventures of DJ Yoda” featuring the impressive MC talents of Biz Markie, Sway, Princess Superstar and the Jungle Brothers among others. And if that wasn’t enough, in the summer of 2006 he debuted his Concerto for the Turntable where he performed with a 17-piece orchestra.

DJ Yoda's all brand new Magic Cinema Show returns this time under the guise The National Video Vacation. Yoda picks a mash of his favourite flicks, cartoons, TV shows, youtube vids and of course his favourite beats and blends it all together for a mind boggling AV & DJ show.

Some words from Yoda himself on what to expect: "everything that I think is cool on YouTube – scratched and mixed into all the music that I think is cool: old computer games, wrestling, rap videos, movie clips, country & western, dubstep, Bmore, South Park – that will probably be the first five minutes.”

Check some of YODA's skills over here :

Please note that this will be an early show with Yoda on stage approx 9/9.30pm.

POST-YODA there's a whole load of other delights going on :

    http://www.bodytonicmusic.com/podcasts/2009/may/12/bodytonic-podcast-037-kormac/

-MC kwasi & the breakdown band will then take over with approx.4 DJ's (who knows , maybe more ) , an MC and live drumming.

-The wobble residents will kick off in the basement later on having another go at blowing the new soundsystem after joker's annihilation last month!

-and last, but by no means least, new monthly dubstep night "ULTRADUB" will kick off in the mezz !!!

BIG BIG NIGHT FOLKS DON'T MISS OUT !

Was going to head in to this but sick as a dog now so won't make it.

I would note that tics are 15 if you buy before hand are 20 on the door. Also, he is gonig to be playing about 9.30 so don't head in late expecting him bout 10.30/11. Something to do with drunk people not appreciating his new video set so need to be more sober to enjoy it :o bit strange but he is well worth seeing.

Also, check out the breakdown crew who'll be on from 11ish, very good mix of breakbeat music (lot of hip hop too)

Yoda very good as usual altho not quite up to the heights of the 1st time i saw him in Tripod. Had a great video/music mix of Inspector Gadget and Fresh Prince of Bel air in the middle of the set, very nice. Kormac good as warm up too.

Just to note, taking a lot of flu tabs and drinking a large quantity of peroni is prob not the best idea, it leads to black outs!! :o:D can't remember who that girl i met was now either...:(
