Strange!! Sky+ Box Problem, Possibly

    I turned on Sky yesterday evening, pressed "TV Guide" button and was nearly blinded with this pink screen, all the various selection options are still there, its's just this pink background , same when u press other buttons Box Office, Services, Interactive, all buttons work only this pink background rather than the normal light blue one. I thought the young lad at home did something to it, but he said he didn't, turned it off, left it for a while before turning back on but the same thing. Everything works fine with Sky+ box, picture quality is same as normal, TV is brand new, only 3 weeks old, I have Sky+ box (Pace) less than 6 months, but this pink screen fries my brain.

    Can this be changed it or is Sky+ box staring to die already

    Strange one, check the scart lead(thick lead) is fully pushed into the skybox and the back of the tv.

    Or if thats ok try a software update,

    Swtich off for 2 mins by pulling out its power cord at back of the box. Find and hold the backup button on the front of the box and return the power lead while still holding the backup button.

    After a min the box will switch on a message will appear on screen telling you its updating the software do not unplug whilst its doing this...it will switch into standby when finished and will enable you to switch it back on about a minute after this....

    Sounds like the scart connection is not inserted properly. Check all connections and I'm quite confident you'll be fine...

    I also always jump to other conclusions before checking the simplest and obvious ones first :D

    Checked all connections, including scart, no joy, then did back up which solved problem.
