Faulty Sky 40Gb box

    Hi,
I have an old 40Gb Sky+ box (I got it within the first month of sky+ being launched in Ireland so it doesn't owe me anything at this stage)

The symptoms are juddery live viewing every 10 secs or so, like trying to stream a vid on youtube where it has to buffer for a second every now and again (also juddery playback but I guess that's from recording the juddery live feed in the first place) Box functions fine in all other areas.
Does anyone else have that problem? I'm trying to determine if it's the HDisk or the box itself, signal quality is over 75% on both channels, I have a second HD box which is fine, I don't think it's the LNB or the alignment as I would expect to see issues on the 2nd box.
I have a spare 120Gb 3.5" HD at home that I would try and install if I thought it was the disk itself, if not I'll just buy one on adverts/fleabay.

If anyone has seen this before and can pinpoint where the fault is I'd appreciate the help.

Swop it over with the other box for a couple of hours to see if the symptoms persist. That will rule out the cabling to the sky +.
