    (yes another lisbon thread)

I dont think this has been mentioned anywhere but it needs to be discussed

The official reason we have to vote again/vote yes is because of results of a survey done after the last verdict which showed that the Irish people didnt understand exactly what it was about.

If it happens to be a yes vote this time and a survey is done afterwards that shows nobody understands clearly what lisbon is really about, do we vote again for a best out of 3?

nothing has been changed in the treaty, countries lie and break promises all the time.
usually when a country votes its for something 'simple' like yes or no to abortion, yes or no to divorce, yes or no to gay marriage, mr A or mr B for president, very simple to understand and make a choice

can anyone explain all of the lisbon treaty clearly in 1 small paragraph?

can a 3rd run of the Lisbon Treaty vote be made in Ireland if those survey people discover the population still doesnt know what its about after the results of this one, or can we just scrap the whole thing?

Can you imagine the Americans re running the last presidential election because of a survey afterwards saying that Americans didnt really understand what Obama and McCain were about?

so why are we doing it here?
