Hey guys don't know if people are looking forward to this but does anyone know if sky or any other network will be covering this?
I know Frochs last fight ended up not getting shown on the net due to lack of interest

I know this channel is available on sky but i have NTL, anyone know whats the story?
Really shouldn't have to pay for this tbh, sky should have really snapped up this.

Anyone know if these fights are being shown by an internet broadcaster?

I watched the Arreola-Kilt fight on SecondsOutTV - quality was excellent and only cost a fiver. Unfortunately they don't seem to have the rights on this one.

Apparently Primetime were considering looking into offering a live online stream:

    http://www.primetimelive.co.uk

I'd be willing to pay for an online stream for sure. I hate trying to search around for a working stream on the night of the fight. Abraham vs. Taylor is also included in that Primetime deal for Sky customers - that is good value! Froch vs. Dirrel from Nottingham and Abraham vs. Taylor from Germany!

It is on TV, but it's PPV. You'll need to have a Sky digibox to order it.

It is good value but I think they should have put the first few fights on terrestrial TV, with PPV as it moved into the semis and final. Shame; likewise that they don't appear to have any facility to broadcast it to customers online.

I rang NTL today and they're not getting the PPV channel, bloody useless!
Going to have to go back to Sky soon as NTL just get worse!

Go to their website and you'll see it's available online to both U.K and Ireland.
Might get it in or i might just look for it for free......

I thought the same myself, but the ONLINE link on the page is actually just a form for ordering the TV package over the net.

So...back to square one: crappy streams.

ACTUALLY: I just gave it another goo, and they are offering a live stream of the fight. It's about E15 which is good value considering the calibre of the fights being shown.

Anybody got links where you could order it online PPV..its the only way i can watch it...NTL are a joke these days...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 968 ✭✭✭ODD-JOB

    A registration fee of £2.50 ?

they're really taking the mick .... then 15 for the stream link !

It's not the heavyweight devision thats killing the sport ,... its PPV .

Primetime are showing the fight and have two options to watch it:

    1) Online stream through Primetime.

    2) Through channel 480 on Sky.

    Both cost 14.95 stgs.

To get it on Sky your telephone line must be plugged into the back of the Sky box. I know you can use this method to order Box Office movies etc but I have always booked fights through Sky by calling them to order the fight. This fight while on a Sky channel is sold by Primetime and the only way to get the fight on TV is through a telephone connection to the Sky box. Does anybody see any problems with the telephone line connected to the Sky box?

I am deciding whether to but the live stream or get it through Sky. I would prefer to watch it on the tv. Any comments would be appreciated.

Abraham is doing well. He is a lot better fighter than people give him credit for.

His defense is very good so far- he's blocking most of Taylor's shot. I think he'll come on strong in the later rounds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,380 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

Abraham is winning now and it looks like the body shots have slowed Taylor down. I definitely see a late knock out for Abraham.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 440 ✭✭jayroyal

what is taylor at jab jab double jab , he needs to combo it up serious

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,759 ✭✭✭✭dlofnep

taylor needs to work the body again, get abe to drop his hands.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,380 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

Taylor needs a ko to win at this stage and it's abraham who is more likely to get the ko.

Taylor knocked out same time as in froch fight! uncanny

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,652 ✭✭✭Boooourns

Very impressive from Abraham, has the power and was winning on points against a very skillful fighter, he really could win this thing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 176 ✭✭ElectroJazz

That was a good fight, good skill from Abraham, Taylor could of been a bit more exciting though.

Didn't se it but Im not surprised. Taylor can not box for 12 rounds.

Just watching the Abraham ko again, when the camera went on Kessler he looked a bit worried:pac:

    Impressed with Dirrell so far.

He is fighting very well, staying well clear of anything Froch is throwing.Crowd none too pleased.Froch will find it hard to pin him down

i just hope froch dosent try to start pleasing the crowd and go Bull Headed at him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,380 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

sly late punch from Froch there showing his frustration there. I don't see Dirrell gassing in this fight.

i'm beginning to think i should have stuck with my first prediction for this fight:pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

    great link guys.. tks..

Dirrell is fair fast on his feet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,929 ✭✭✭raven136

imo this fight so far shows why Froch would have been crazy to fight Calzaghe.Dirrels footwork is terrific.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,652 ✭✭✭Boooourns

Froch is doing his best to rough him up, only way he can beat him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭TechnoPool

    Good round from froch.

To me Dirrell dosent seem like he wants to be there.

he dosent like the rough housing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

Fairly cynical holding. I dont think he can knock Froch out.. just hoping that he can win on points...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭TechnoPool

ye i can see direll spoiling this alot come the last 2 rounds and just running and holding.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,380 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

Superb display of elusive boxing skill from Dirrell. He is making Froch look clumsy. I think Froch needs a ko but i don't see Dirrell tiring sufficently to enable him to do that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 369 ✭✭Kaizer Sosa

Dirrell doesn't seem to have the spirit. Too busy complaining instead of focussing on the task at hand. Can't help but feel Froch is gonna catch him towards the end.
