Ryanair Changing my Flight For 2nd Time

Ryanair have yet again changed my flight by putting it back another half an hour again. I was originally booked to fly at 11.00 AM and I'm now not flying until 12.30 PM.

    I've been given two options
    1] Accept Flight Change
    2] Accept a Travel Credit

Does anybody know how theese travel credits work after I redeem them?
Are they only to the value of the flight I was originally booked on?
Could I use them, to change my booking to a different flight on the same day, to a diffreant airport?

    Any help, much appreciated!

I thought you also had the option to get the credit put back in your card. At least they did that for me anyway recently.

hi, ryanair changed my flight time too and as a result i was losing out on a day, i was meant to arrive in morning and now its late in evening. to change my flight and add in another day was going to cost me 340 eventhough i had only paid 120 for the four tickets in the first place! thats not on that carry on so i rang them at 9 in the morning when they open(u will have a job getting through any other time) and tried to explain that i wasnt happy, that it was their fault not mine and so to make a long story short the woman changed my return flight to the following day for free. she initially told to go and do it myself online and therefore pay 340 extra. perhaps you should ring them and try it, it's hardly our fault the flights keep changing, hope this helps

Ryanair at their best. The only surefire solution is never never fly Ryanair, they sure don't like their pesky customers.

The Orb, if you have nothing helpful to post, please don't bother posting at all. This forum is about advice, not rants.

    The Ryanair Website http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php?sect=chg&quest=schedulechanges says
If a Ryanair flight is time changed significantly (more than 3 hours before or after the original departure time) and no suitable alternative flight is available, we will, upon application, offer a Travel Credit or a refund for all monies paid in respect of the time changed flight, without further liability.’

    Travel Credit Terms and Conditions
Travel Credits must be redeemed within 6 months (186 days) of the date of issue. Travel can take place up to 12 months from the date the Travel Credit is issued. Travel Credits can be redeemed as part or full payment of a future Ryanair flight(s). To redeem Travel Credits you will need to contact a Ryanair reservation centre

Seeing that they have offered a travel credit, they might offer a refund if you ask for it.

The only thing is you have to book by phone, so you couldn't go onto the site & alter your booking online, plus you will be charged to change flights as far as I know.

Unless you're only going for a short time, or have another flight to catch which you'd miss it would probably be best just to take the 12.30 flight. Otherwise you could chance asking for a refund. You could be lucky & get it!

The new EU rules say that if you are delayed by more than two hours, they have to get you there on a later flight *and* pay you €250 in compensation. I wonder if that applies even if they let you know ahead of time you will be delayed. Also, I seem to remember there were stricter rules now where they have to offer you money back, not some lame "Ryanair credits".
