Hi all I have a hybrid bicycle with 700-35C tyres.
My question is what are the skinniest tyres I can safely fit to these Rims (the rim measures 25mm on the outside) Will I get away with 700-28C's ?
What are the best tyres for the job i.y.o.

    Thanks

You need to measure interior rim width.

    Then Sheldon has the answer.

You will almost certainly be fine with 28s. More important than skinny (presuming you want speed) is a good quality slick tyre with no tread whatsoever (or a minimal cosmetic tread like you get on Continental tyres like Gatorskins.)

Presuming it is for general/commuting-type use Continental Gatorskins come in 700x28 and would be a good choice- reasonable puncture resistance while still having a reasonable road feel and being reasonably cheap.

Note Sheldon's chart is very conservative and I have gone way beyond that without issue, have run 700x23 and 700x35 tyres on the same (road) rims with no issues.
