Faulty CD changer in my car - help!

    We have a BMW 3 series (bought privately) and have mislaid the car manual etc so before we go to the garage with this problem (I;m smashed !) could anyone out there help as my DH hasnt been able to find the prob. The car has a std cd changer which was working ( factory installed) and the control in the dash is not picking up anything from it (says it is not loaded) and we cant get the cd holder out from its casing. Maybe it was put in the wrong way the last time it was loaded. Any ideas on how best to fix this or is it back to BMW dealer for a costly look ??
    Appreciate any help

    Mine Does that all the time - 3 Series Coupe.

    Give the CD Jacket holder a bang and it should come out.
    One of the CD drawers may be locked have way but the knock should resolve.
    I wouldnt bother bringing it to BMW.

    If it comes out make sure all the cd drawers are located correctly.

    Re-insert and test. You may have to do this again until you get it right.

    Mine does it quite frequently i think its just worn from age.

    Anytime i put a new cd in i have to get it spot on. But hey its part of the charm :o
