Just had a look at 8w. Show Sports 4 is on there showing UFC. It says at the bottom of the screen that they will show EPL as well.

The footprint for orbit on 26e doesn't look any better than nilesat on lyngsat, probably at least a 2.5m dish, but 8w looks the business, even though there's not as many channels listed there at the moment. Here's hoping.

Good signal on 8W in Sligo. Although since I done the rescan for Show Sports, Boomerang is now encrypted, I was enjoying Top Cat :(.

No chance of getting the beam here. Its same sort of footprint as Nilesat

Best to just wait and see if Showtime are moving any more channels to 8W.

The Orbit ./ Showtime channels are viewable on 8west with a Triax 110cm and it looks like the Eurobird 2 satellite at 25.5 east should be watchable on a CM 1.8m dish with matching feedhorn. Lots of Orbit / Showtime on this satellite.

I am going to try and pick up Eurobird 2 tomorrow, so I get it I will let you guys know.

    BTW I am in Mayo.

Yes the tuner on it is crap but can still pull in 8w.

No probs with the Tm though.

    Update,

Tried for over an hour to pick up 25.5 east Eurobird 2 with a Channel master 1.8m with matching feedhorn and inverto C120 quad lnb and not a bleep, swung the dish back to Nilesat and got all the Vertical channels but no Showtime on Horizontal,,,,,

If the Christmas / recession does not kill me I might buy myself a Channel master 2.4m next summer and try again.

here's one for you. I know a satellite company in dublin that have a 3metre dish and cant pull in showtime on 7w. I would say that u'd have the same issue with 25.5e

saw Showtime in an Irish pub, lanzarote, Canary Islands.

how can they get it so far south ?

no worries down there, look at lyngsat, 90cm dish should get it on 7w in canary islands. doesn't look like they would get it on 25.5e though
