    This is what it is...
For some reason i thought people in the fitness forum would come back with educated responses.... Guess i was wrong.

Ankolosing Spodolysis- Joe Canning is raising awareness for this, but he doenst have it..
He was diagnosed with pubic symphysis due to over training.
Its to do with the Ligaments at your bottom of your pubic bone becoming inflamed.

Stillbill I'm not too sure from your post what you actually have, didn't intend being rude. Pubic symphsis isn't a diagnosis everybody has a pubic symphysis, you may however have dysfunction of the pubic symphysis or a different condition affecting the pubic symphysis. Ankylosing Spondylitis is a chronic rheumatic disease. Best wait to get the correct information from the physio and doctor looking after you when you have your results back. Best of luck.

And you are missing the point.
The pubic symphysis is a part of the body.
It is not a medical condition.

Presume you mean osteitis pubis....which affects the pubic symphyis!
Im currently getting over it, have had it since around Christmas, but due to it not being diagnosed properly until i had an mri scan, it took a while.
Had to get an injection into the pubis symphysis and it made an immediate impact. Improved immensely after two days, and now have no pain!

What caused my problem was muscle problems (weak core, tight hams, glutes etc etc)

If its something you do have i recommend the SSC in Santry, Dublin!
