What do you think will win car of the year for 2010. Stick them down here with your reason why and we'll ad a poll after to see what comes out on top. :)

New Citroen C3 Picasso for me . Right car at the right time IMO. Stylish, very well focused on its core market and well priced

Ah ffs lads, regress a bit and remember when you were 10, would use choose those cars as car of the year? Lets make this interesting!

I'd say Polo, when the **** is hitting the fan, boring and safe become very appealing.

For a sportscar it takes a bit more than looks alone to win the European car of the year. Only one sportscar has ever won it ;)

It's got the 670 engine too, plus the exclusivity of less than 20 units! ;)

no matter how much sh1t hits any particular fan, I will never ever find boring and safe very appealing, in anything really, not just cars.

which is why This gets my vote :p

New Astra coming out next year. Boring, but a likely candidate for Irish and European car of the year.

I'm pretty sure that for a car to be crowned CoTY these days it has to appeal to the masses and not be a niche product like that Batmobile you've been posting.

Car of the year is all about fitness for purpose, not just which is the best car.

Saab Ed - surprised you didn't put a word in for the new 9-5 (I don't expect it to earn the title, but it might be seen as a good comeback effort).

Imagine the irony if the SAAB 9-5 won only after the Insignia winning the previous year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 604 ✭✭✭mumblin deaf ro

True - although the saab engineers had a heavy hand in the insignia and (so the story goes) kept their best ideas back for the 9-5 - that remains to be seen of course.
