english citizen claim welfare here?

    My cousin from uk is coming to stay with me for a while,does anyone know if she can claim welfare while she's looking for a job.This will be her first time over here,she's 25.

    Yes she can, since the UK is part of the Common Travel Area upon which Habitual Residency is based.

    Seriously!! I would have thought she'd have had to work here for a period of time first. Unbelieveable. Another example of this state giving out money for nothing.

    You can go to england and claim their dole if you cant get a job.
