Small Firms - what percentage of overall employment in ROI

Hi all

trying to get a figure for what % of total employment small firms (say less than 10 people) account for in the Republic of Ireland

Have seen figures before on this but cannot find now.

BTW, they host the National Small Business Awards, no charge for entry. If you are shortlisted they give you a very good training package and a good PR opportunity.

thanks guys, tried both and you would right person was not there but amazingly they could not point me to a previously published figure (which would have sufficed)

ERSI or the CSO should have these figures, have always found them very helpful

If this does not give you the result try contacting Bill Moss, IDS or Data Ireland. Generally the lists they have are segmented according to number of employees with the actual number recorded
