Hey, I got this message from La' Cathedra on facebook and I hope you don't mind me posting it here. Sounds a deadly course, but I have no time to do it unfortunately:
    Back Loft wrote:
In just five evenings you can learn how to make your very own guitar!
There is no skill needed as you will learn everything from professional
guitar maker Emilian Lalev. Using your hands with the materials
provided you will assemble a guitar from the beginning.
The cost of the course is €180 and this includes the materials.

Starting this coming Monday the 5th of October till Friday the 9th in
    The Back Loft from 6.30pm - 9.30pm.
More information and bookings contact lacatedralstudios@yahoo.com

To reiterate, it has nothing to do with me, just sharing :)

Where's the Back Loft? Any links to the Facebook - I'm interested.

This sounds pretty cheap. I wonder how much you'd cover in five sessions?

Sounds good. Do you build a guitar in the 5 days in class I wonder. Pity bout the dates though. Something I would consider doing in the future though.

I'll stick it on the list.

Google has failed me, they don't seem to have a website or am I just not asking the right questions?

La Catedral Studios are down a small street to the right as you head up Thomas Street (same side as Thomas House and opposite to Vicar Street). It's an artists studio with an exhibition space

    Here's the link

Would be very interested to hear how it went

    Presumably, this is in Dublin?

Got an email back and have a number now, thanks. There are only 8 places apparantly and they would like to have a deposit by 7pm tomorow. I cant make it tomorow cause Im working but we arranging a meeting on Saturday after work to give the deposit.

Hopefully Ill learn a thing or 2 and at the end of it I will have a new guitar to take home. It is very rare to find a lutherie course in Ireland and they are generally a good deal more expensive.
