Is there some trick to putting in acuvue toric lenses? I have a trial pair that I put in and had to take out within 5 minutes because they were irritating my eyes so much. I've tried googling but can't get any info about whether the lines need to be in a certain place?

AFAIK Toric lenses will find the correct orientation once there put in the eye, I think the bottom of the lens is weighted heavier. I have softlens torics and never have to worry about lining them up. Are you sure your not putting them in inside out?

I too use acuvue toric lenses. Mine seem to find the right orientation whichever ever way i put them in. As pointed out already, check you aren't putting them in inside out, this does cause irritation alright.
