Champions League - Sky Sports HD - No 5.1 Audio?

I'm watching Fiorentina V Liverpool on Sky Sports HD1 and there appears to be no 5.1 audio. No centre channel and very little from the rear speakers. Anyone else having this problem or is it just me? HD box connected to audio system by optical link.
