Ukulele Advice

Looking to buy a (reasonably priced) ukulele for a friend. They play guitar already and would really only want to play around on the ukulele as a hobby/fun, so wouldn't need anything that's top of the line.

Any advice on the best ones to get and the best place to buy one in Dublin?

    Ta!

You can pick up a bog standard, not particularily good ukelele in pretty much any music shop in dublin for around 20 quid - they're cheaply made and don't stay in tune very well tho. How much are you willing to spend? My younger brother bought one for about 180 euro (can't remember where tho) and in fairness its great, well made, stays in tune and came with a little hardcase and everything.

I don't think I can quite afford 180 this time around as it is part of another gift but I think getting a cheper one might be a bit pointless if it keeps going out of tune etc. I might just have to wait and buy it again.

    Thanks for the info!!
