I believe once there is a sky dish at the next house that all I need is my sky box and viewing card, remotes and like - then im all set to watch again, just notify them of a change of address.

However, before I get on to them again, as I don't want to pay for something that I might be able to organise myslef:rolleyes:

does anyone know how I could get two televisions working off sky, each having their own box/remote/channels etc?

I have a working Sky Plus box. I also have an older ordinary sky box with remote, which was working - given by friend who left country, sitting in attic last 2 yrs tho. Could I connect this up - and then how do I get it to work without a viewing card for this box? Whats this Magic Eye I hear a bit about? Does this have anything to do with my situation?

Thanks so much. I need to gather my info before I move, as I will have no broadband then, and will need to go mobile!!!
    :(

you can hook up the 2 boxes, you may have to change the lnb to a quad though if there isnt one at the new house. you will need to do this for sky+ anyway.

you can then have sky+ and with the other box you can watch the free stuff (no sub)

or you could go for multiroom but you will have to have a phone line for that.and pay extra.

the magic eye thingy is for watching the same channel on another tv,

    hope that helps.
