Fothergills bakery do a great one. Seriously nicest one I've ever had. They've shops in Blanchardstown, Churchtown and Foxrock. So juicy and lovely.

I love the black forest gateau from superquinn, by far better than any other that I have tried :p lots of big juicy cherries... mmm. You should order it because they fly out of the shop, plus you can get it decorated any way you like

If you are going to tackle one yourself, try the Hatrley's Black Cherry Filling that Tescos have statred to stock in the last while.

I know it's a bit of a cheat but it is seriously cherry-y.

The closest is probably Ranelagh but it's an express store so might not have a bakery.

Whereabouts is Foxrock is the fothergills bakery? Is it in the village?
