Have already replied to someone about this tour operator- not getting commission or anything but I traveled with Oasis overland in Africa most recently and are good mainly for early 20's travellers, maybe 1st time travellers. Might hav been a bit old myself but there were a few 30-40 somethings on it too, mostly young 'gap year' students tho.

A lot depends on the comfort level of the trip you're going on.
I did an Intrepid Tour to India which was Basics Comfort Level (i.e. public transport, no frills, cheap accommodation) where everyone was in their 20s and early 30s.
A friend of mine did a trip to Vietnam with the same company which was a notch higher comfort level and had an older crowd.

    Hi,

I know this thread has been gone a couple of months now but I was just curious to find out a little bit about your experience with Oasis Overland in africa. My girlfriend and I are goin to Africa for a few months in January and we're planning on doing the Nairobi to Jo'burg 70 day tour with Oasis.

What tour did you do yourself? I know that oasis are a good bit cheaper than other operators but they defo look the most youthful and fun (we're both 26). Any tips for the trip following your own adventure? What was the Oasis crew like?

Thanks in advance for the info,

    Cheers,

    Jim.

    Fortunately, it's the real deal!

Check out the tour we're going on here:

Really decent price for an adventure of a lifetime!

Anyone got any thoughts on Oasis Overland as an operator though?
