There should be instructions on the bios download page.

Updating the bios is always a little risky, especially with an Acer, apparently their bios updater utilities arent as well designed as some manufacturers. Worst case scenario is that you'd brick the laptop (render it unuseable). I think actually the Acer page suggests you only do it if told to by one of their tech support.

In any case, if you do it follow instructions carefully.
