Anyone else REALLYYYY excited about the friends movie being made. I cant wait to see how it turns out. Wont be out till 2011 i heard though .. Hope its as good as im hoping

ah i still regard friends as one of the best show on tv, and although i still love it i reckon a film wont work at all, they should of just left it done

The only quote about the movie is from the actor who plays Gunther, so I'm hoping wee'll see a Gunther spin off movie. The plot could be that they're closing down central perk and Gunther has only 48 hours to raise 50,000 dollars, que Gunther's wacky fundraising efforts and comical mishaps.

On a more serious note, a film version couldn't have a laugh track, so how would the producers expect for us to know when to laugh.

on topic: A Friends movie? Kind of reminds me of the Simpsons movie. If it came about ten years ago when the show was still good then I would have been interested. Instead it will probably just be a tired old slapped together piece of drivel created to make maximum profit with minimum effort.

Greatest TV show ever...actually the greatest thing ever imo..fingers crossed it happens!

If there is a God out there he will stop this from happening and instead use the money to fund a film with an original idea starring honest to God talented people and not a bunch of washed up sitcom stars.

Friends was at its best when the episodes had little to no plot. Getting ready to go to Ross's speech was a classic episode, or Ross buying a new couch... etc

The problem with this movie will be that it will be forced to have a structured plot, any comedy they might have thrown in will suffer because of this.

What am I thinking, under no circumstances will a Friends movie be good (this coming from someone who admits to liking the show, and watching it from start to finish)

Its not even close, How I Met Your Mother pisses all over it, and clearly Seinfeld is the best sitcom ever
