After watching the Grand Tour on Channel 4 last night planning a trip back to Rome. I am wondering what are the advantages of going in Jan/ Feb over Nov/ Dec.

I have been to Rome a few times but never around this time of year. Has anyone any experiences or advice.

Have done all the must sees but the City is just such a great place to experience and wander around.

I was there beginning of January a couple of years ago and it was fine during the day able to walk everywhere as opposed to the summer when to hot to walk, but very cold at night!

Yep, I agree with Hargo. Was there in Jan a couple of years ago too and it was pleasant during the day, you'd still need a jacket, but night was freezing!

Great thing about it is there are no queues anywhere, even the Vatican was easy to access. If your OH is going with you, there are some great sales. It is lovely to be able to walk around at your leisure without having to push through crowds.
