    Hi Guys,

As the subject says, I have UPC BB and Analog TV...
I got freeview Sat which is good enough for me, Is it possible for me to cancel just the analog TV service...

Will this cause problems? i.e can they cancel my TV and leave me my Broadband service...

    Has anyone done this?

You can. Basically you broadband increases in price by €6 per month. Have done it recently but had digital tv and there you have to give them 30 days notice.

Yeah something about the broadband was subsidised if you had the tv as well.

Basically they give you €6 off if you take both TV and BB. If you only take BB, then it costs €6 more.

A bit like 6 apples for €2 or 50 cent each.

This is a big improvement, in the past, if you wanted BB, you had to pay for TV.

But does the broadband use the cable feed like the tv? If so how do they monitor u use just the feed for bb and not for analogue tv?

It is illegal to steal the TV service.

Any discussion on how to steal TV service is not allowed on these forums.

i just rang trying to cancel digital tv and keep the broadband, they said theres a 100 euro fee for doing this, as its within the first 12 months. What a joke, even though im still keeping the broadband! Is this true, or can i give them 30 days notice as posted above ?

no joke the 12 month contract is for both the TV and BB, If you cancel the TV you would be charged the 100e cancellation fee and 8e extra for your Broadband as the stand alone charge
