sky is now installed, but the contractor re used the ntl main feed so i now have no ntl feed in the house is it possible to get connector for that to put the connection back until my ntl subscription gets cancelled.

i.e when ntl is cancelled will the analogue go ? or can i continue to use it?

It sounds like your sky contractor connected your main NTL cable to the lnb of the sky dish instead of running a seperate cable so basically you cant have the 2 signals NTL and Sky together on 1 cable comming into your house. Its a pity because you would have to give NTL 30 days notice of cancelling. I would would have not put in sky until a day before your NTL sub was finished = Easy install for sky contractor and a Happy customer not out of pocket.

Only way aound this is to use a pair of dilplexers/combiners. Installer should have consulted with you before he disconnected NTL

would i be a simple job i could get someone in to do? I have enough spare coaxial cable so would only require the cable being reconnected to the connector as the sky installer left it connected just cut the cable away.

You should not need any cable to this and if you can put on a F connector its simple enough .

As I said earlier a pair of diplexers is the only solution
