Does anyone know if the money that IRCSET give you for a laptop can be used to buy a desktop instead? My current laptop was only purchased at the start of the year and would still be expensive to buy now, so have no need for a newer one. Thanks.

Its for a computer of any kind as far as I know. One of last years ircsets in my lab got a desktop. Go for whichever suits you better

Yeah I got a shiny new desktop with it...much better value for the money if you're going to be using it in an office anyways!!
