Actual vs Predicted

Just completed the Half Marathon this weekend (1:44), and according to McMillian, I should be able to run the DCM in 3:40. Now 3 years ago with a lot more training, I ran the half in 1:36.... McMillian predicted 3:22.... but alas I came home in 3:42 (probably went out too fast). Should I take mcmillian as accurate, and aim for 3:40 (8:30), or go by what I ran last year, and be happy to break 4 hours?

I looked at some other calculators, and all seem to be telling me roughly the same target time.

I didn't run the 5 or 10, but how did you guys find the predictors in getting from 5 to 10 to 13.1?

    Thanks,
    Domer

Set out at 3.50 pace. If you feel okay at 20 miles speed up.
