any way to get out of contract

    hi there...

well, to make it short, I am all fed up with broadband from BT. I subscribed to the Option 3 7.6 MB package, all my technical stats are perfect and I sit just on top of the exchange. Yet I cannot get any download speeds faster then 110 kB/s... the last two weeks the speed declined even further, now I am lucky if I can get 75 kB/s. I cannot watch any video streams, even internet radio runs out of buffer on a regular basis.

Numerous weeks and calls to BT tech support. They say everything is fine, must be a problem with eircom (as they provide the lines)...
I don't give a **** anymore, just want out of the contract. If need be I just won't freeze all payments until they kick me out themselfs.
Or is there any other way?

any help would be highly appreciated.

Write a letter, send by registered post, and tell them that due to their inability to sort out the problems you've pointed out to them on numerous occasions, you are canceling. Cancel the direct debit, and stop using the service.
