at the ploughing i bought an acme "predator" call. man on stall said twas a fox call but when i got home it sounded like a party whistle but with some heavy muffling with the hand it somehow resembled a fox. what i want to know is is there a bit of a proper knack with it or what?

    ps

I have one of those callers, actually I bought it for my brother one Christmas and its somehow ended up in my hunting jacket. Its a caller that makes a noise like a distressed hare, hard to describe exactly how that sounds but you need to cup your hand around the end of it and open and close you hand to chnage pitch and level. I havent actually given it much use, I prefer to just call with my mouth on the back of my hand when required.

I have one of those acme predator call, well I had one its missing at the moment, its a black plastic yoke about the size of a shot gun cartridge. You can make sound of a wounded rabbit with it and its quite effective.

A hare screaming sounds a bit like a baby waling it's head off. If this sounds a bit macaber sorry lads but that's what it sounds like to me.
