Looking to reduce the size of a folder of photos/jpegs.

Whats the most straightforward way of doing this?

Sorry for the lameness of this post, no such thing as a stupid question or so they say:o

Your JPG's are most likely highly compressed and applying further compression won't achieve an awful lot. Probably the easiest way is to reduce the resolution of the image however this will reduce the quality of a printed version of the image should you be doing that subsequent to the resize. i.e. resize in photoshop, elements, the gimp. So you should keep an original version of the folder images for subsequent use.

If you are looking to do this on an entire folder then something like irfranview has a batch mode which has a very nice and blindingly fast resize. Irfanview is free for personal use.
