Hey guys I lost my iPhone 3GS 32GB yesterday,I'm pretty sure someone else has it as I can't ring it and I never turn it off, I rang O2 yesterday to have the phone blocked so now I'm just curious to know what info whoever has the phone can get off it. I have two email accounts set up on it plus all my calender and contacts as well,
Will someone be able to access this info and is there anything else I can do?

That's terrible news OP :( Sorry to hear that.

Where did you lose it? If it was in a bar or something couldn't you go in and ask?

I recently lost my iphone too so i know what your going through. I also got my phone blocked by o2 and from what i can gather is that that completly wipes the phone making it an empty shell - not sure though but that is what i was told.

It was most likely only an IMEI block on their system in which case the phone will still have the data on it. O2 do not have the ability to wipe the data from your phone.

If you have an Exchange or MobileMe account on it you could send a Remote Wipe command, or a message on screen if using MobileMe.

That's a pity I was hoping they could just kill the phone.

No I don't, is it worth getting?

Sure is! It has a 'Where's my Phone' GPS feature.

Did you lose it in a taxi in Dublin? If you did you can pick it up in the Carriages Office off Dame Street (IF the driver handed it in...)

Does anyone have any experience of dealing with Phonecover insurance crowd?
How long does it take to get a replacement phone from them, for a €120 a year I would of thought that they would be pretty quick processing a claim but i've been waiting 10 days now and still no sign of a new phone.
