go to settings and then wi - fi.

does the network name have a lock beside it?
if it does you wont be able to connect without verification which may be the WEP code.

Other than that you should be able to connect.

Log in to the router and it should show you the WEP key there. You might also want to add the MAC address of the iPod Touch to the mac address filtering list

type 192.168.1.254 into your browser. this willl bring you to your routers interface. click on wireless on the left hand side and your wep key should be there

Just click on the network in wi-fi settings and click connect. It should pop up a little box for you to put the code in.

I think i know what you are doing, are you clicking on the blue arrow beside the networks name? Instead of doing that click on the name of the wireless network itself, this should then bring you to the page where you enter the wep

so what do i do now?????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 630 ✭✭✭mazthespark

go into security settings on ur router and change to wpa psk and enter a password of your choice. unfortunately if that works will have 2 re enter the password on all devices on your network. but could just try it with the ipod first

I really struggled with this, and eventually it was the weather app which allowed me on. Kept trying to refresh that, and it prompted the password which did it.

    Not very scientific!
