Hi all trying to find a wedding venue in dublin/kildare/wicklow or meath as we are based in dublin and looking for a venue for a sit down meal of 80 - 100 people. Most venues we have looked at are way too big and we would be lost in the room. I would defo prefer a fuller smaller room than a half emply big one! Any suggestions for "smaller venues". I would also love it if the place had gardens where photos can be taken. All suggestions appreciated!!:)

This place is really nice, http://www.thomaspriorhall.com/ it doesn't have gardens as such but is only down the road from Herbert Park.

Also Summerhill house in enniskerry is really nice.

    L'Ecrivain restaurant Dublin.

Top-drawer Michelin-starred restaurant. Tip-top food and service and not as expensive as you'd think now the recession has knocked us out of our rip-off orbit. They've a nice sun terrace with roll out canopy off the upstairs restaurant with a large reception area downstairs for a drinks reception before/entertainment afters. We used their pianist to provide soft music on arrival who turned into something of a knees up piano-man after the dinner.

You've Merrion Square across the road which has quiet, flower bedded areas suitable for photos.

Station House in Kilmessan is well suited to that amount, really cosy and food is excellent

Would also recommend Liffey Valley House - multiple gardens/locations for photos, and near Dublin.

Station House in Kilmessan also a very good choice.
