I need to get some grub screws for the saddles on my Callaham bridge which I recently fitted to a home build strat. I know I can easily get them from Callaham themselves or allparts etc. but the postage cost would be greater than the cost of the screws. Does anyone know of anywhere in Dublin that would sell this kind of thing? I remember looking for pickguard screws a while back and found very little in any of the usual hardware shops. Any ideas?

I would be inclined to get them from where ever you got the bridge. Considering they are part of the bridge assembly they will have some bearing on the sound. For the sake of a couple of quid postage and getting them direct to your door, why skimp.

Might give that a go but the problem is that the ones that came with it are not long enough, I cant get the saddles high enough to set the guitar up properly. Hopefully they make a longer version of the same screw.

they won't affect the sound. Any parts shop Maplin etc should have them. Try and get stainless ones which will not rust

McQuilans on Capel St may have them too

cheers, will try both. I suppose the fact that they are allen key type grubs will make them even harder to find. I wonder are there any big hobby shop type places in town that would stock stuff like that.

You need to try an engineering shop, they'll have them
