SKY+ HD waiting list

    I ordered SKY HD today but was told the waiting list is about 4-6 weeks!:mad:

    Anyone else also waiting?

    Sky directly have always a waiting list, faster way would be to contact a local independant installer..

    Steveon ur on the ball 2day. Yes independent installers are generally quicker as ive heard that with sky directly you could be waiting up to 3 months.

    I ordered Sky HD on the September 10th (directly through Sky), and it was installed on the 16th.:D Finlay Communications was the installer and they did a top job. Well pleased with it. I said to the installer that I was surprised to get an install date so quickly after ordering, and he said i got lucky; he's dealt with three month waits, and he's busy.

    SKY will always put new customers to the top of the list and upgrading custmers to the end. Seems unfair as most upgrading is only plug out SKY+ Box and plug in the Sky+ HD Box or dop an other wire with a new LNB.

    It was an upgrade, not a new installation!
