sound driver download

    i dunno if this is relevant to this forum. but anyways....

    i got my laptop completely wiped the other day, but there seems to be alot of issues since i got the laptop back, first the wireless wasnt working (got that fixed) but now i just realised that the sound is not working either, there isint even a volume scale at the bottom right of the screen.

    i figured i need to install a sound driver i reckon it was wiped aswel. does anyone know where i can download a sound driver

    laptop details:

    dell inspirion 6400
    os - windows xp

    any help would be great thanks
