Damaged SSD

    Just purchased a 120GB SSD and what have i done when inserting the sata power cable but broke of the plastic housing surrounding the pins the plastic housing is useless now as it broke into bits i used very little force and was quite surprised when it broke the pins on the drive are intact. the connection now is very loose is there any way of fixing this.

    Did you try to push the connector on the wrong way around? :confused: Odd issue...

    If the connector is just a little loose then it shouldn't be a huge issue once mounted. If its very loose then you're looking at a world of hurt - it might need to be RMAd but even though it sounds like there was a manufacturing defect the fact that a piece of plastic fragmented on you will make the seller and/or manufacturer try to reverse the blame on you :(
