    Hi All,

I have heard something about people getting their accounts done in India for very little money. Has anyone heard of this and if so how does it work?

    Thanks.

There are various escrow sites on the web were you can invite people to tender to do your accounts/web design etc. A quick google search should find them. Most of the tenders will be from India/Asia as they have a lower cost base.

Indian standard practices allow people to make one sided entries.

Yes but company accounts must be prepared in accordance with Irish and UK GAAP. Although this is going to change to IFRS for SME's in the very near future.

The accountants would have to prepare the accounts in accordance with Irish standards.

The only potential issue I could see here is language barrier/communication.

Im a self employed accountant in Dublin. Done my degree/ ACCA in Dublin. From India originally. I know that you would have issues like language barrier or method of preparing accounts etc. But my father has his own law practice back home, he gets his accounts done from this firm and they contacted me through him to see if there is any outsourcing work I can give them. I obviously would not give them my work but I can give you their contact details or try to find out more about what you're looking for? Or better still let me know what you're looking for & I'l see if I can do it for you at a very very decent rate that you wouldnt disagree with.
