Hi all, I'm just having a bit of a problem with listening to something through my headphones on the laptop. The thing is I can hear the sound no problem through my headphones BUT the sound also plays through the normal speakers as well. This is annoying as when I am in the college library I cannot listen to anything for obvious reasons. The windows version I have is Windows Vista Home Basic. Please help....

Happening since I got it, which was a year ago.

check your Speaker settings in the control panel. there should be an option to disable and reinable the main speakers when you plug something into the headphone jack
