Anyone know when/if the likes Dunnes, Vodafone and shops like those take on staff for Christmas and how I'd go about applying for them?

Go now, and apply for Holloween work. You should be told they're filled. Then ask about christmas work.

I know the place i work uses an agency, to get temporary workers in.

now employment agencies can be a nightmare, but for the business it removes hr and payroll problems, plus the agency makes workes supply their own PPE.

so perhaps keeping an eye on the anencies too is a good idea.

Penneys pay €9 (this might be slightly out of date..). Dunnes pay €9.13. Dunnes contract minimum is 15 hours part-time, I think Penneys is a bit less but not much.
