Been trying to connect my dell inspiron to my philips tv using vga to rca video cable. Using the intel graphics 465gm chipset. Just will not display on my tv. Can't think of anything I can be doing wrong. Should this work?

check your display refresh and make sure its at PAL settings (50hz)

Download powerstrip , free prog,set res to 720x576,60,mhz or 50mhz refresh rate.SEE here http://entechtaiwan.com/util/ps.shtm ,. More info at www.svideo.com pc to tv , to get that rate you need ps prog,set tv out pal b europe.ON my laptop i press fn key and f4 to turn on tv out.IS THERE an function key eg f4 with a square /2square or a tv icon on it.
