    Hi,

I have been a UPC broadband subscriber for over a year, and just recently got Television with them. We went for the DVR package. I was not in when it was installed my girlfriend was, so I never got to talk to the upc guy.
I was looking at the DVR box and there is a Ethernet connection in the back, can this box act as my broadband cable modem?
I connected my laptop to it, and it asked for a SID and password. so it does seem to work as a modem.
    Any info?

    Thanks

It can but it's not activated, I don't know why they don't use them. I would prefer to use just my STB rather than STB and separate modem. You can't use it unless UPC activate it.
