Trail Running

I was reading an article recently about trail running and it recommended it for off season training for triathletes. It sounds like good fun and is certainly better than running miles solo over the winter. I had a quick google but didn't find anything. Are there many events in Ireland, West of Ireland ideally? Is there a website or a race calendar? Thanks in advance.

I think the IMRA (www.imra.ie) races would be classed as trail running. They have a race calendar on their website, but I don't think there's too many races around the West of Ireland.
