    Cringe.

Were they on TV3 this morning? He looked mortified. He needs to learn to say no to her.

Ah bless, in fairness she looked like she was enjoying herself :), he on the other hand...he probably should have been allowed to the bar first, loosen up a bit...:p
His Jacko impersonation was atrocious

Still though...for my wedding I would have ALL the guests get up to do some big dance like the Macarana or Evolution of Dance :D

Well, not my cup of tea but each to there own. As long as they BOTH wanted to do it and hopefully it will be something they can look back on and have a giggle over it.

From this video it doesn't look like they BOTH wanted to do it.

And from what I saw on TV3 the other morning it didn't look like they BOTH wanted to be on TV.

    * He seriously needs to learn to say NO to his wife

Folks , they couple are only having a little fun! It's great to see someone breaking away from norm by doing something different... and getting a kick out of.

Best of luck to Stephanie and Gerard, may they have a happy future together.

Don't get me wrong, I wish them all the best. However, the 'alternative' first dance is hardly 'different' these days. If you're going to do something different at least be original. There's literally thousands of these types of videos on youtube and the like.

I wish them a happy marriage too.

A happy marriage where he is not co-erced into doing silly things. Did you see them on TV3 the other morning. He was dying. Does he look happy to you in that dancing video?

They were talking on TV3 about getting married in the theatre in Cork.

A wedding in a theatre and then a display dance for your first dance - talk about turning your wedding into a performance/party piece!

+1. At this stage I'd be more suprised if they didn't pull something like this. Funny the first time people!

Exactly!! Someone posted a video up here recently of a couple who had the wedding party dancing up the aisle, which I thought was very funny. I haven't seen something like that before. I don't know how well it'd go down in the local church though.

All I know is I won't be doing it at mine.. and I've already had people asking what's the suprise dance going to be....it's seems to be almost taken as a given by some people at this stage. It'll die out again as these things tend to do and some new craze will come along

This whole surprise first dance fad is becoming really cliché now. I also notice that the repetoire of songs used, from being at different weddings, is very small with the same dance moves being used by different couples making the whole thing even more cringe worthy.

they got this idea from the dancing comedian .
its ll the exact same music....
and I agree the husband really doesnt look happy. its tacky.

I've deleted certain off-topic comments which I don't think were really suitable for the thread. I've also deleted the conversation surrounding the comments so the thread makes sense.

I'm asking all posters involved not to return to that conversation as they will be deleted again and bans will be handed out. If someone else brings it back up please report rather than reply. Thanks.
