Macbook pro battery

    Hi all,

I posted about maximising battery health the other day on a new macbook pro. I calibrated the battery at the weekend and when i logged on, on Monday I opened iStat pro. It tells me I only have a 94% battery health, I had an ibook previous to this, which I bought a new battery for a year ago, this still has 95% battery health after 193 cycles.
How has my battery health decreased so much in only 6 days- and I havent even used the laptop that much.
I also noticed that battery life disappears really quickly, I barely get 3 hrs from a full charge. Apple state approx 7 hrs, I know thats an overestimation but I dont even seem to get half of what they suggest. And this is with really moderate use, no downloading or playing DVDs?
Whats going on ? Anyone else have the same problem ?

Try calibrating it again - a new battery needs a few complete cycles to get it to full capacity.

'Health' is only a ratio of actual capacity to specified capacity, so your new battery hasn't had enough 'exercise' to reach its full capacity (100% health) yet.

I did have somewhat similar battery life prior to doing the battery calibration as described here:

Since then I've got anything between 4 and 8 hours from a single charge.
I'm on 53 battery cycles, and my health is still at 100%
